I have just done what I thought I'd never do: drawn a SonElise picture. However, I was watching the '06 cutscenes and realized something: Elise is justified in what she does. Yes, she falls in love with an animal. But she is a young woman and this animal is a young man in every single way except for how he looks. Like, there's a message in '06... it doesn't matter what you look like, but who you are underneath that counts. Would Sonic pass judgement on Elise like all of us do? No, he wouldn't do that. Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to support/promote bestiality in any way. But Sonic is all but a person, and Elise can't help the way she feels.
On a similar note... just be who you are, and try not to be afraid. I'm not saying any of you are in love with animals, but maybe you love someone in a way that people say you shouldn't. Don't listen to them. If you love them enough, everything else will be worth it. Or maybe you try to change yourself to make someone like you. I personally don't think that you should do that, I believe in showing people the real you no matter what. But I'm not trying to push that view on anyone. I'm just trying to say that there's nothing wrong with the real you.
Done in ArtRage Studio 3 with the watercolour brush. About 5 hours. Yes I know Elise sucks, but I don't draw people very often. I tried.
Thanks very much to *flamewarflipsides
for encouraging me to think deeper and to find meaning in the seemingly meaningless.
